Are you using Huawei devices .. Beware of this malware ..!

Despite cyber security companies educating users about online data security, hackers continue to attack user data in new ways. Doctor Web, a cybersecurity company, has recently revealed that apps in the Huawei App Gallery contain Android Trojans malware. Huawei claims that 93 million people have downloaded this malware through over 190 apps in the App Gallery. Dr. Webb said he had submitted a report to Huawei on this and had cooperated with Huawei to eliminate them. Doctor Web reveals that hackers sent malware called Android.Cynos.7.origin into users' mobiles through gaming apps.

The phone will ask for certain permissions regarding calls and messages after users have downloaded the gaming apps. Collects user information through text messages, download files, etc. that come to the phone as soon as the user allows. Then the information that the user is stealing cash from bank accounts by installing premium SMS services, other apps on the phone without involvement. This malware version was detected and removed in 2014. Doctor Web recently discovered that hackers had made changes to the malware and were collecting information such as phone number, device location, GPS, WiFi access point data, and mobile ID through the Huawei App Gallery.


A Huawei spokesman said that they had detected malware apps in the Huawei App Gallery and removed them. Huawei has said that it will consult with the developers regarding these apps and release the malware-free version of the app soon. Huawei has been launching a limited number of phones in the Indian market for some time now. In this context, the company has advised users of Huawei Mobiles to immediately remove the apps from this list from their phones.
