Internet Desk: Microsoft is taking steps to phase out Internet Explorer services completely. As part of this, Internet Explorer users are advised to use Microsoft Edge browser services. It also suggests changing the settings, data, bookmarks, passwords, and cookies to the Edge by redirecting to the Microsoft Edge browser even if Internet Explorer is open. Corporate customers have been informed that Microsoft accounts will not be able to log in to Internet Explorer from November 13.
The company also announced in August that it would no longer support Microsoft 365 applications in version 11 of Internet Explorer from August 21, 2021. The latest is that Microsoft's web applications will no longer work on Internet Explorer 11 from November 30 this year. Edge Legacy has also announced that it will be discontinuing its desktop app services from March 9 next year.

Microsoft introduced the Edge browser five years ago to compete with Google Chrome. Chrome has recently added additional features to the Edge in view of the competition it faces from Firefox.
